As PennEnvironment’s Western Pennsylvania Director, Ashleigh manages our Pittsburgh office and serves as the regional point on a variety of local, statewide, and national issues. Ashleigh brings 13 years of experience in community organizing, environmental advocacy, and government administration to PennEnvironment’s campaign to eliminate lead in drinking water in Pittsburgh’s schools.
Prior to joining PennEnvironment in 2018, Ashleigh served as the Chief of Staff for former Pittsburgh City Councilwoman Natalia Rudiak, implementing a number of progressive policy and community initiatives. Prior to her role at City Council, Ashleigh was actively engaged in the non-profit environmental community, first as a program organizer for Clean Water Action’, and then for the national non-profit, Clean Air Task Force.
Ashleigh graduated from Chatham College in 2005 with a degree in Environmental Studies. She and her family live in the South Hills of Pittsburgh.
