Protect Endangered Species

We share our planet with countless incredible creatures, from the grizzly on the ridgeline to the bee in the meadow, from the wolf in the forest to the butterfly in our backyard. Many are on the brink of extinction — but instead of helping, the Trump administration is weakening the Endangered Species Act and expanding drilling and logging in vital habitats. It’s up to us to protect endangered species and the habitats they call home.

Philly Healthy Schools Initiative

Schools are places where our kids go to learn, achieve, build lifelong friendships and grow up to be productive citizens in society. School buildings are also the place where our kids spend most of their waking hours.

Unfortunately, there’s growing evidence that our school buildings are plagued with environmental health threats, from potential exposure to lead paint and lead in drinking water, to asbestos, to common asthma triggers like mold.

Organize

Jamie Lockwood started on staff on our Conservation America campaign team and immediately began working to save the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF). Unless you read the small print on park signs, you might not realize that LWCF has funded a lot of the places that so many of us cherish across the country: parks, trails, national monuments — even local ball fields.

No Bees, No Food

Millions of bees are dying off, with alarming consequences for our environment and our food supply. We rely on bees to pollinate everything from almonds to strawberries to the alfalfa used to feed dairy cows. What happens if the bees disappear? It’s simple: No bees, no food.

Greener Together: Summer Camp at Home

Join us this summer for a self-guided summer camp experience from your own home. Learn about nature, explore environmental issues from your backyard, and have fun while you become an even stronger voice for protecting our planet!

Go Solar

Fortunately, more Americans are going solar every day. By 2017, our country had enough solar energy capacity installed to power the equivalent of 9 million homes

Global Warming Solutions

A greener, healthier world requires each of us to do all we can to eliminate the pollution and practices that are warming the planet and changing our climate. PennEnvironment takes concrete steps to move us closer to the world we want to live in, from promoting the fossil fuel divestment movement to accelerating the transition to cars that don’t pollute.
